Satpol PP: Public Figures Must Contribute in Campaigning the Use of Masks

Jakarta Satpol PP Head Arifin keeps calling on celebrities or public figures and influencers to be able to give examples to keep wearing masks while doing activities outside the house, including when documenting any activities.

He hoped that it could further increase the discipline of wearing masks for residents and the implementation of health protocols to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

He went on to say that their reputation and achievements could be important figures in support of fighting the coronavirus. Moreover many people thought that public figures were role models who could be an example for them.

"Public figure is very widely known by the public. Usually people often follow the things done or said by every public figure," he told.

In addition his party was still also intensifying action on each violation of the mask by giving sanctions according to the procedures. It was stated in Gubernatorial Regulation number 51/2020 on transitional PSBB towards healthy, safe and productive communities.

"We'll reprimand or sanction violators without exception," he asserted.
